More than ever, it is important to introduce children to the arts. Besides learning a musical skill, learning to play the piano fosters academic achievements as well as important life skills from goal setting to time management. Playing the piano has been described as fireworks for the brain, as it wakes up all the areas in the brain. It is not surprising then that learning to play the piano opens up a whole new worlds and strengthens skills expressiveness and musical storytelling in addition to math, reading and critical thinking.
I believe that music is an essential part of being a human being, therefore learning to play an instrument is for everyone. I gear private piano lessons to each child’s unique needs. During monthly group lessons we learn about musical concepts, history and general musicianship together through games and fun activities. Each student has an opportunity to perform and showcase their talents and achievements In studio recitals. I introduce children to the wonderful world of classical music from various eras and I hope to instill a life long love for music in each child that walks into my studio.
